What began as a loving project for my own dogs has blossomed into a fun hobby able to be enjoyed by other dog enthusiats, both pet and show. With full coated breeds, like my maltese and powder puff chinese cresteds, I discovered the buckles and traditional webbing collar would tangle the hair around their neck. Thus, I started my quest for a fun and attractive collar which would 'slip' and 'slide' around a dog's neck, not come off over the head, and not create a friction effect on the hair. In addition, I wanted a collar to be easy to put on, easy to take off, gentle on the trachea, and good for lead training puppies. After many experimental models, the collars offered here meet all the criteria. Since each collar is custom made for each dog, the martingale closure prevents the collar from becoming too tight or slipping over the head. The collars have a soft interfacing with a cotton or satin front, cotton or satin binding, and a back constructed of satin, cotton, or fleece. As a one piece unit, the attached lead allows convenience and eliminates the tendency of the clip migrating under the dog's legs. As a two piece unit, the collar has a tab which allows attachment of a flexilead. Each collar comes with a four foot lead, but additional lead lengths are available priced per foot.
